For brick oven pizza on the Upper East Side, Andiamo is our go to. Super simple, yummy and fun, Andiamo is the place to grab a big family-style salad and a couple pizzas on a nice day. Sit outside on the patio and watch a game on the big outdoor screen or catch up with old friends here. Housed inside what used to be an art deco-style tire shop, Andiamo is one pizza spot you’ll surely return to for years to come.

Harry's Pizzeria

A solid American pizza option by the Michael Schwartz team (Michael’s Genuine, Amara at Paraiso and other restaurants around town), Harry’s Pizzeria has three Miami locations to choose from and has been a Miami staple since 2011. Our favorite is the Design District original, where you can order plenty of pizzas —go the classic route with a Margherita or spice it up with a short rib pizza and a side of polenta fries.

Lucali

The South Beach outpost of the famous Lucali pizza in New York is quite literally heaven. It’s an elevated New York slice in a cozy Sunset Harbor location. Simplicity has never tasted so good. A savory pie and a salad is the perfect Lucali combo, unless you’re looking for something sweet that is. This hotspot is known not only for its pizzas, but also for its Nutella Pie. Smothered in hazelnut and chocolate spread, ricotta, powdered sugar and mint leaves, the Nutella pizza is out-of-this-world delicious.

Mimmo’s Mozzarella Italian Market

Not only does this tiny, charming spot in North Miami make its own cheese and provide it to local restaurants around South Florida, it also makes one of the best and most underrated pizzas in the city. Fresh mozzarella, basil and prosciutto on a super thin, super tasty crust will leave you craving for more and that’s perfectly OK since pies here are personal sized. If you’re with a group, get a few pies to share and your server might just bring you some cheese to taste along with toasted bread while you wait. Wash it all down with a blood orange Pellegrino and save room for dessert. A cappuccino and a bite of dark chocolate is sure to hit the spot.

Mister O1

If it’s thin crust pizza you’re looking for, you can stop searching now. Mister O1 (located in South Beach, Brickell and Wynwood — there’s even one a couple hours north in Naples, Florida) touts itself as being modern, trendy, conceptual and extraordinary; we believe the pies here are all of the above. If you like to experiment, try the Coffee Paolo pizza. It’s made with red sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola blue cheese, spicy salami calabrese, honey and, yes, coffee. If that’s a little too adventurous for you, the Hawaiana (with ham, mozzarella, red sauce and pineapple), might just be right up your alley. Spris Artisan Pizza

With multiple locations around Miami (Lincoln Road, Midtown, Downtown, South Miami), this authentic Italian pizza concept has been a locals’ favorite for more than 15 years. Order a beef carpaccio, a cotto e funghi pie (mozzarella, ham and mushrooms) and a glass of wine and hang around for some people watching which is best at the original location in the Lincoln Road mall on South Beach.

Pizza Tropical

If you’re not much of a nighttime person or a hipster, you may not have heard of Pizza Tropical, but it’s so worth a visit when in the Wynwood area. This pizza window, located at Gramps (a trendy beer and co*cktail bar with a weekly trivia night), is easy, fuss-free and quick. The slices are cheap and super tasty and you can chow down before or after strolling through the Wynwood Walls and taking in all the art the neighborhood has to offer.

Sir Pizza

Made famous at its Key Biscayne location which has been open since 1969(!), Sir Pizza is amazing alone, but even more mind-blowing when eaten with a side of ranch. Whatever your dipping style, Sir Pizza’s pies are sliced into perfect, little crispy bite-sized squares so don’t be surprised if you devour most of or an entire pie by yourself without noticing. The restaurant’s second location is down south in the suburbs of Palmetto Bay.

Stanzione 87

This Neapolitan pizzeria in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood takes pride in bringing traditional pie-making to the Magic City. The restaurant uses a wood fire Stefano Ferrara oven from Naples, Italy, made by a family that’s been crafting ovens for over 150 years! The menu at Stanzione 87 is divided into red and white pizzas. Our suggestion is not to leave without trying the mouthwatering creamy white Truffle pizza.Stanzione hosts a monthly natural wine night, all the rage in a city where natural wine is slowly taking off. You can also find a Stanzione outpost inside the Citadel, a new food hall in Miami’s Little River neighborhood.

Steve's Pizza

Another New York-style joint, Steve’s Pizza is old school cool in a small, homey space with graffitied booths in North Miami. This is a great choice for the late night pizza cravers; after a few co*cktails or too much wine, Steve’s (pies and slices are HUGE) is a solid choice and one that will remind you of Brooklyn’s laid back, casual family-owned pizza spots that gladly welcome you in at almost any time of day or night.
