The best double-deck game in Las Vegas has a new home. In December 2020, M Resort, which once offered the best double-deck game, removed its stand-on-all-17 double-deck tables in its high-limit room that also allowed re-splitting aces. These tables were converted into ones that hit soft 17. That means there is a new game at the top in this year’s Las Vegas Blackjack Survey.

The new leader for best double-deck blackjack game in Las Vegas is shared between several casinos. The rules at the table include a double-down both before and after splitting, plus the dealer standing on all 17’s. The house edge is around 0.26% for these stand-on-all-17 double-deck games.

Other Las Vegas double deck blackjack games

There are a variety of Las Vegas double deck games that hit soft 17. There are several sets of rules that cover these tables, depending on the casino.

The best remaining double-deck blackjack game allows doubling down before and after splitting, and aces can be split more than once. Most other Las Vegas double-deck blackjack games allow a double-down before and after splitting but don’t allow splitting multiple times.

A few double-deck games permit a double-down before, but not after, splitting. These games are dealt at Boyd Gaming properties in downtown Las Vegas or a Caesars Entertainment property, generally on or near the Strip.

Double-deck games with a 6:5 payout

All other double-deck blackjack games that we found in Las Vegas pay 6:5. In most cases, these casinos also offer a 3:2 version of the game for the same minimum bet or a little more. Minimums range from $10 to $50.

Poker Palace in North Las Vegas offers a $2 double-deck blackjack game. However, it pays even money on a blackjack. It also does not permit doubling down after splitting.

Las Vegas double-deck Super Fun 21 now extinct

There was one blackjack variant that was dealt double-deck in Las Vegas. This was Super Fun 21. This game was found at Sam’s Town until 2023. It was removed from the pit. Super Fun 21 is now missing from Las Vegas.

Super Fun 21 has some unusual rules. The most important is that blackjack pays even money unless it is suited to diamonds, which then pays 2:1. Blackjack always wins, even on a push. The dealer hits soft 17. The game also offers a double-down before and after splitting, re-splitting aces, surrender at any time including after a double-down, a five-card Charlie on hands of 20 or less, and a six-card Charlie that pays 2:1 on 21.
