I don't know what other people think, but my theory for why Grievous works in t1 but not t2 is this:
They're adding a new Omicron to Grievous for the upcoming raid, which makes him immortal under certain conditions which we have yet to figure out.
For t1 of Defense of Dathomir they set Grievous' abilities to something specific, like all abilities = Ability Level 7.
For t2 of DoD they set Grievous' abilities to "max," not thinking that they might someday add abilities on top of what he had back then.
So despite the new Omi, t1 still works b/c his abilities are at a particular level.
T2 fails because the Omi is active when it shouldn't be.
Anyone have anything better?

He gets this triangle buff which he also gets in the Tank Raid... I am assuming it has something to do with the buff. Maybe not an Omicron but something Raid specific, just how in Galactic Challenges or Raids the faction that is required also gets additional buffs or abilities etc.

Or... They just suck at testing stuff before letting it into rotation. Or, they really want to shoo players away, or at least are trying really hard to convince them to stop spending any real currency on a product that people can't have any faith will work properly.

I lost faith in their ability to manipulate or add new content flawlessly years ago. In a week or two some zetas and a few crystals will show up in our in-box and we will wonder why.

This is definitely the raid version of Grievous, as it has an enrage countdown. It’s most likely that Grievous is being added as a raid boss in some form.

I know this would not solve the problem of GG being immortal but you have to admit, this little QOL update (to all of these types of legacy events) would have certainly made it much less impactful.

I know, but I am sure the reason he gets it in the first place and that it stacks broke something, even if it can be cleared. Definitely a Raid mechanic of some kind.

He’s invincible before getting that buff, this is just standard CG incompetence. There was an update, thus they must have introduced a bug. 2+2=4, the sun rises in the east, death&taxes, etc. These clowns are literally incapable of doing anything right, it’s long since stopped being amusing.

Maybe they should give us 4 zetas as compensation. I've been doing these events for years and never got more than 2, let alone the 3-4 it suggests are possible.

i explained the details in the swgoh.events server... but basically he is a raidboss and you are doing Raidpoints instead of damage. But there is no Raidpoints limit defined and therefore... you can smash him for an eternity
also fun fact... the change was already introduced on may 8th and i mentioned it back then... wasnt certain what the consequences would be back then

He is accidentally a raid boss in this event. I believe this means we will get GG as a boss of some sort in the upcoming Naboo raid. They probably already coded it in, but either forgot that event GGs exist and could be impacted by that, or probably didn't intend to affect the GGs in events and it was just an oversight.

iirc theyve had this problem like four years ago with an event Dooku and it was something related to the boss tag.
